What is Passivation??
Passivation is a chemical treatment of stainless steel with a mild oxidant, such as nitric acid solution, for the pupose of enhancing the spontaneous formation of the protective passive film to aid in the prevention of corrosion by removing surface contamination without altering the stainless steel itself.
